East Africa Community Meeting ahead of World Travel Market!

Yesterday, H.E. Julius Peter Moto hosted High Commissioners and Ambassadors of EAC States, The Deputy Secretary General and staff of EAC, CEO of Uganda Wildlife Authority, CEOs and Staff of Uganda Tourist Board, Kenya Tourist Board, South Sudan Tourist Board and Senior Staff of Uganda High Commission , London, at a briefing meeting towards the World Travel Market Show in London from 6th ' 9th November 2017

The WTM attracts over 45,000 travel enthusiasts annually, EAC is participating. As Chair of EAC, Uganda shall make a statement on the 8th Nov 2017 on behalf of EAC. Hon Ephraim Kamuntu, Uganda Minister for Tourism shall make the statement.

Tourism is a fast-growing contributor to the GDP and employment creation of the EAC nations. In order to guarantee sustained growth in the sector, we need peace in the entire Great Lakes Region, Somalia and South Sudan.
