On Monday 20th January, H.E. President Museveni attended the UK-Africa Investment Summit in London, hosted by the UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.

The summit brought together businesses, governments and international institutions to showcase and promote the breadth and quality of investment opportunities across Africa, including Uganda.

The Summit strengthened the UK's partnership with African nations to build a secure and prosperous future for all citizens. It also mobilised new and substantial investments to create jobs and boost mutual prosperity.

Whilst in London, His Excellency addressed the UK-Uganda Business Forum, graced by chief executives of over 70 British companies, where I made the case for them to come and invest in Uganda.

The President pointed them to the immense opportunities available in agriculture, mining, tourism, and the services sectors. Serious investors in these areas can be assured of adequate raw materials and other government support.

The President also paid a courtesy call on Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, at Buckingham Palace, discussing several issues of mutual interest and importance.

At the Royal Geographical Society in London, His Excellency was awarded with the African Leadership Peace Award by African Leadership Magazine.
