MISSION ENGAGES UGANDAN CELEBRITIES BASED IN THE UK TO BOOST TOURISM, TRADE AND INVESTMENT

The Ag. High Commissioner, Amb John Leonard Mugerwa and Mission staff yesterday hosted Ugandan young celebrities and professionals in various fields based in the United Kingdom for a dinner interaction at Uganda House.

Amb. Mugerwa briefed the team about the Mission mandate, services,  available trade, tourism and investment opportunities in Uganda in agri-business, pharmaceuticals, real estate, treasury bills and bonds among others.

He congratulated the young professionals on their remarkable accomplishments and commended their commitment to continue embracing and promoting Uganda's image in the UK in order to attract more tourism and investment opportunities for the country.

The young professionals, many of whom have dual British-Ugandan citizenship, were led by Ms Priscilla Anyabu, a renowned TV presenter who thanked the Mission for bringing together Ugandans in the diaspora. They noted that great scope exists for increasing Uganda's visibility and creation of job opportunities, especially for the youth, through services, ICT, culture, film, sports and entertainment.
Among the celebrities who attended and shared their experiences in their respective careers were Oscar-winning actor Daniel Kaluuya, Bevis Mugabi (Uganda Cranes Footballer), Brenda Juliet (Brenda Nabanja), Big George (George Kamurasi), Denise Dainty, Double S (Bashir Banznye), Eva Apiol, Isaac Kimbugwe, Jonathan Elimu, Ms Banks (Tyra Oji), Patrick Yabish (Patrick), Priscilla Anyabu , Ragz Originale (Daniel), Rashid Kasirye, Sarah Mulindwa,  Scully (Jason Kavuma), Shankxz Lee Brooklyn, Unknown T(Daniel Lena) and Zawe Ashton.
