H.E. Nimisha Madhvani welcomes Ugandan writer Ms Yvonne Kusiima to the High Commission

High Commissioner H.E. Nimisha Madhvani welcomed Ugandan writer Ms Yvonne Kusiima to the High Commission on 3rd October 2023.

Ms Kusiima's short story entitled "Weaving" is among 5 shortlisted for the 2023 Caine Prize for African writing, the most coveted literature award in Africa.

It is awarded to the best short story published by an African.

This week the Mission participated in the Birmingham - Uganda Investment Convention at the Burlington MacDonald Hotel.
Amb. John L Mugerwa gave the opening remarks on behalf of Uganda High Commission, highlighting the available Investment opportunities in Uganda in the areas of Agriculture, Health and Social Care and Real estate. 
He stressed the Mission’s focus on boosting Commercial and Economic Diplomacy by urging the diaspora to channel their resources to investing back in Uganda.
